Murf AI's pricing page has three tabs (API, Studio and Dub), a monthly/yearly toggle and limits measured in hours per year rather than credits. That makes it hard to answer the simple question: which plan do I need, and what do I get for it? This guide answers it.
All figures below were checked on the official Murf pricing page on October 26, 2026. Prices are in USD, exclude taxes, and can change. Confirm on the official page before you buy.

What each plan is really for
Free: an audition, not a plan
Ten minutes of generation and no downloads means you can listen to voices and test pronunciation, but you cannot export anything to publish. Use it to check whether Murf's voices suit your script before paying.
Creator: solo creators and freelancers
Creator is the cheapest way to download and publish Murf audio commercially. The limits that matter:
- 24 hours of voice per year. Murf counts the time per year on yearly billing. That's about 1,440 minutes, or roughly 120 minutes a month if you spread it evenly.
- 1 editor seat, 100 projects.
- No PowerPoint/Google Slides integration and no Business License.
Business: teams, agencies and heavy users
Business quadruples voice time to 96 hours per year and adds the Business License, finer voice controls (Emphasis, Variability, Say It My Way), PowerPoint and Google Slides integrations, and Audio to Text. It is still one editor seat; sharing and collaboration are Enterprise features.
Enterprise: organizations
Unlimited generation, SSO, access controls, AI translation and contract terms. Pricing goes through sales.
Cost per minute of voice
If you use your full allowance on yearly billing, the math from Murf's own numbers is:
- Creator: $228 ÷ 1,440 minutes ≈ $0.16 per generated minute
- Business: $792 ÷ 5,760 minutes ≈ $0.14 per generated minute
Two caveats. First, regenerations count toward your voice time, so plan for some overhead on every script. Second, unused hours only save you money if you actually use them; if you produce 20 minutes a month, your real cost per minute is much higher.
Commercial rights: the line that matters
Murf's comparison table lists Commercial Rights on Creator, Business and Enterprise, and Business License on Business and Enterprise only. The Free plan has neither. If you're publishing monetized YouTube videos, courses or client work, you need at least Creator. If you're unsure which license covers your use (for example, ads or broadcast), check Murf's license terms; Full Broadcasting Rights are listed as an Enterprise add-on.
Murf API pricing (for developers)
The API tab is separate from Studio and priced per character:
- $10 free API credit to start
- Text to speech (Falcon, built for real-time voice agents): $0.01 per 1,000 characters
- Studio-quality text to speech: $0.03 per 1,000 characters
- Voice Changer: $0.10 per minute; Translation: $0.02 per 1,000 characters
- Pay-as-you-go credit that does not expire
If you are building an app or automating narration, the API is usually the cheaper route. If you want a visual editor that syncs voice to slides and video, you need Studio.
Which Murf plan should you choose?
- Testing voices: Free.
- Monetized YouTube, course lessons or freelance voiceovers, under ~2 hours of audio a month: Creator.
- Agency or company work, presentation-heavy workflows (PowerPoint/Google Slides), or you need the Business License: Business.
- Teams that need SSO, shared projects or unlimited generation: Enterprise.
- Developers: API, pay-as-you-go.
Before you pay, run your real script through the Free plan and listen to two or three voices at the pacing you'll publish at.
Bottom line
Murf's Creator plan is the entry point for publishing, at $19/month on yearly billing with 24 hours of voice a year and commercial rights. Business makes sense when you need the Business License, slide integrations or more hours.
